Building a Supportive Community
Our strategic priority Building a Supportive Community is focused on nurturing an engaged membership that contributes to the global conversation about great antidoping practice.
Building a Supportive Community is backed by three strategic activities:
- Assess member needs
- Run global collaboration platform
- Coordinate expert & regional groups

Assess Member Needs
Through a mix of conversations, interviews, and surveys, we stay close to the needs of our members to inform our plans and activities. An example of an output connected to this activity is the Overview of Hot Topics identified through our Annual Member Survey.
Athlete Representation Survey
The Institute of National Anti-Doping Organisations (iNADO) has published its latest report, Athlete Representation in Anti-Doping Organisations, offering valuable insights into how athlete voices are currently integrated within anti-doping structures and how this can be further strengthened.
Based on a 2024 global survey, the report recognises the growing commitment across Anti-Doping Organisations (ADOs) to include athlete perspectives in governance, education, and policy-making. It also highlights practical opportunities to build on this foundation through clear policies, better resourcing, and more consistent support for athletes and athlete representatives.

Run Global Collaboration Platform
Through monitoring Basecamp discussions of our members, we identify Hot Topics, take the quality discussions, and turn them into useful documents to distribute. An example of an output connected to this activity is Basecamp Discussion Summaries.
Coordinate Expert and Regional Groups
Through matching Hot Topics with experts (Technical Leads) from both members and non-members, we bring distilled recommendations to the wider anti-doping community. An example of an output connected to this activity is the ADAMS Working Group to improve the functionality of ADAMS.
