New version of iNADO Constitution effective as of 7 June 2024
The General Assembly of the Institute of National Anti-Doping Organisations (iNADO) has approved motions to amend the iNADO Constitution. The assembly also saw the election of new members to the Governing Board, with all eight elected members accepting their positions.
Under German law, where iNADO is registered as an association, these members are officially in office from the date of their acceptance. However, German regulations require registered associations to apply for changes in the Register of Associations regarding the official representatives of the association. Specifically, this involves the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Governing Board. Additionally, amendments to the association’s articles only take effect once they are entered in the Register of Associations.
Accordingly, iNADO submitted an application to the District Court of Bonn to register the new version of the iNADO Constitution and to record Anders Solheim as the Chair and Lindsey Stafford as the Deputy Chair of the Governing Board. The application process was supported by a local notary office and the legal expertise of Dr. Karsten Hofmann. Jorge Leyva, the then-CEO of iNADO, formally signed the application on April 16, 2024, which was subsequently submitted to the District Court of Bonn by the notary office.
On June 13, 2024, iNADO was notified about the successful registration of these changes in the Register of Associations, which were officially recorded on June 7, 2024. This registration confirms Anders Solheim and Lindsey Stafford as the current Chair and Deputy Chair of the Governing Board, respectively, although they have been formally in office since their election acceptance on March 13, 2024. The records for the former Chair and Deputy Chair, Nick Paterson and Dr. Lars Mortsiefer, have been duly updated.
Furthermore, the new version of the iNADO Constitution, as approved by the General Assembly on March 13, 2024, became effective as of its formal registration date, June 7, 2024. The updated constitution is now available here.
